America’s existing housing needs help. Many of the 130 million homes in this country were constructed before modern energy and building codes were established. These homes often suffer from performance problems ranging from:

  1. Inflated energy consumption
  2. Poor thermal comfort
  3. Indoor air quality issues

Your Green Guys’ certified professionals are highly skilled experts on the front-lines in the “Home Energy Enhancement” industry.

Your Green Guys is one of the few contractors in the Mid-Atlantic area accredited through the Building Performance Institute Inc (BPI). BPI’s tried and tested standards for home performance work using the house-as-a-system approach allow us to prioritize repairs and provide customers with a forecast of their return on investment through energy savings. We’ll be able to trace problems to their root causes, prescribe real solutions and get the job done right – the first time. As a BPI accredited contracting company, we offer solutions with the science to prove it was done right.

The stringent technical standards and requirements of BPI mean that their certified professionals are in demand – from homeowners, state and utility energy efficiency incentive programs and weatherization assistance programs.

Our simple 4 step process:

Step 1:

Contact our office to schedule a “no-cost” Home Energy Inspection

Step 2:

Our inspectors accurately evaluate the entire thermal envelope of your home as a “system”. We will conduct a 12-point Energy Savings Analysis and provide you a copy of that report – at no charge.

Step 3:

We will make the necessary recommendations as to what enhancements should be made along with providing a projected “return on investment” analysis.

Step 4:

Some of the improvements we’ll point out that you can do yourself –others we can do for you, such as the following:
  • Additional blown-in attic insulation
  • Comprehensive air-sealing
  • Heat reflective insulation on the attic rafters
  • Home Energy Monitoring system
